High Population
Ethiopia's land is increasingly turing into desert sue to high population, unsustainable land use, and lack of land ownership. Ethiopia's population is at an estimated 85 million. Since 1900, the country has grown by nearly 74 million people. The United Nations that this rapid growth will continue, reaching nearly 120 million people by 2025. Family planning is crucial because if a family has too many children, they can't all be feed properly so then the child won't be able to go to school. Moreover, Ethiopia's high population growth is a major challenge to the country's development and could also slow down efforts to alleviate poverty. With 2.5 million babies being born each year, the population of Ethiopia is on the rise.
